Susan Boyle taking over the World

I just had to talk about the phenomenon that is Susan Boyle. A lady that opitomizes the hidden sweetness of great britain, the ones who don't get the chance to shine as society is too cynical to give those who are less plastic an opportunity.

She now has the opportunity and I want to see her do as well as she can. The queen must be looking forward to her performance!

Getting Good at Building Relationships

Over the past year, my outlook on life and my career has changed dramatically. I have come to learn that it is the relationships you build with others which plays the most important role in developing my future and it is not as important to be the smartest person in class. Yeah, sure it helps to be clever but without the ability to develop and sustain good relationships with people, it means nothing.

Since I began going out with my amazing girlfriend Georgie, whose father and friends are reasonably wealthy, I have learned that the most successful people keep their work and family separate. Something that I think is brilliant. The thing they all have in common, apart from the good business sense and intelligence, is their ability to utilise developed relationships to their advantage. Building up contacts and using them contacts to your advantage.

I believe the majority of people are happy (or so they think they are) to sit back and go through life carrying out each day as it comes, but in order to really reward yourself and get the most out of things, there is no room for laziness. Obviously I am saying this as a student who hasn't entered the big bad world properly yet but I am going to try my upmost hardest from now on to remain motivated in everything I do and learn to build relationships with people. It's a skill. Some may argue, you either have it or you don't but I'm going to try my hardest to get it!

A Great Night for Chelsea

My first post has to be about Chelsea Football club. I am still recovering from what was one of the greatest games of football I have ever seen. It had everything, literally. I was watching it with my best mate Sam and he had put a bet on liverpool to win so there was some intense rivalry there. The best team won in the end. Bring on Barcelona.

The game was on the eve of the 20th anniversary of the Hillsborough disaster and it did get me thinking about the event. I was looking through the list of names who died all those years ago and there was the cousin of Steven Gerrard, a 10 yeard old at the time whose life was just washed away. It makes you think about destiny and what might of been for this young kids life. Are our lives panned out before we are even in existence and we merely play our role? Why is it certain individuals that get taken so young? Yet again more questions.

Why am I doing this?

Today, I thought I needed to write down the stuff I think about. I'm a real deep thinker so feel it may help to get my thoughts out and make sense of them. I'm guessing the purpose of this blog is to write down how I'm feeling and any random thoughts I have on life.
