Over the past year, my outlook on life and my career has changed dramatically. I have come to learn that it is the relationships you build with others which plays the most important role in developing my future and it is not as important to be the smartest person in class. Yeah, sure it helps to be clever but without the ability to develop and sustain good relationships with people, it means nothing.
Since I began going out with my amazing girlfriend Georgie, whose father and friends are reasonably wealthy, I have learned that the most successful people keep their work and family separate. Something that I think is brilliant. The thing they all have in common, apart from the good business sense and intelligence, is their ability to utilise developed relationships to their advantage. Building up contacts and using them contacts to your advantage.
I believe the majority of people are happy (or so they think they are) to sit back and go through life carrying out each day as it comes, but in order to really reward yourself and get the most out of things, there is no room for laziness. Obviously I am saying this as a student who hasn't entered the big bad world properly yet but I am going to try my upmost hardest from now on to remain motivated in everything I do and learn to build relationships with people. It's a skill. Some may argue, you either have it or you don't but I'm going to try my hardest to get it!

Well said. You never know who's going to be the next Madonna, Einstein, Dyson or Spielberg, so as long as you treat people how you want to be treated, hopefully people never forget.
